SALEM, Ore. – Nov. 23, 2010 – Wells Fargo has given $3,000 to Mid Valley Mentors, a community-driven non-profit agency in Salem, to support children and adults affected by incarceration in Marion and Polk Counties. The gift includes a $1,500 grant and a $1,500 sponsorship of Mid Valley Mentors’ 5k & Fun Run/Walk held Oct. 16.
Wells Fargo partners with nonprofit organizations such as Mid Valley Mentors to strengthen its communities. Wells Fargo has repeatedly been named one of the most generous corporations in Oregon and the nation.
“We give special thanks to Wells Fargo team member Elaine Harvey of Salem, who volunteers as our board chair,” said Sarah Spinks, executive director of Mid Valley Mentors. “Elaine also serves as a champion for Mid Valley Mentors within Wells Fargo and our community at large. Without her leadership and encouragement we would not be able to serve our community by providing mentors free of charge to individuals affected by incarceration.”
