Donate

Mid Valley Mentors is more than an agency, we are a community of volunteers who care enough to connect, are present enough to engage and believe enough to inspire others toward success!  As a donor you can help make a meaningful difference.

It’s not just a donation, it’s an investment in our community’s future

Contributions from community members like you, helps Mid Valley Mentors break cycles of crime and harmful behaviors by providing quality mentoring for children and families impacted by incarceration which offers new prospective on life and leads to brighter futures. When you donate, you don’t only join our cause, you directly support children and families in your community. No matter how small or large the amount, donating helps make a difference in the lives of young people around you.

Donating makes sense

National and local studies show that children who have role models are more likely to improve in school and in their relationships with family and friends, and less likely to skip school or use illegal drugs or alcohol. Students who are successful in school are less likely to drop out, abuse drugs or commit crimes. In fact, our youth program was proven successful in a three-year independent study conducted by the University of Oregon’s Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior.

Your support makes a difference

Your financial support helps keep our programs going and services in your community—so we can develop more college grads, community leaders and entrepreneurs.

Your financial support makes many things possible, like:

  • recruiting new volunteer mentors
  • covering the costs of background checks, while ensuring trained professionals match youth to responsible mentors
  • enabling ongoing supervision and relationship support for every mentor, child and their family
  • providing case management and resource connections critical to stabilizing families
  • providing cultural and social activities to help broaden perspectives on life and lead to brighter futures
